NAVOON ("we", "our", "us") operates a global travel and food discovery platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information in compliance with Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

We do not collect payment information, government IDs, or sensitive personal data.
About your current location: We may use your current location to show how far a spot is from you, to list spots near you in order of distance, and to center the map on where you are. That location is used only on your device — it is never sent to our servers and never stored, and it is discarded when you close the browser. We request it only when you tap a feature that uses your location — such as "📍 Nearby" (Home and Saved), "Show distance from me," or the "📍" current-location button on the map — and only after you allow it in your browser's permission dialog. If you decline, everything else works as usual; you simply won't see distances or nearby spots.
About Memory location data: If you attach location data to a visit record, it is stored in an area readable only by you and is never shown to other users. If you attach a photo, metadata such as the capture location is removed before upload.
Email address protection: Your email address is never displayed publicly on your posts or profile. It is stored separately from your public content in a restricted-access database that only authorised administrators can view, and is used solely for account authentication and essential service communications.

AI Search sends a list of the currently public posts, including posts written by other people, every time it runs. Only fields that are already public are sent; no personal information about the author, such as an email address, is included. The screening also checks whether the post contains contact details such as a phone number, address or email address. NAVOON uses the Gemini API under a paid Google Cloud project, so the content we send is not used to train Google's models. Google may retain it for a limited period to detect abuse and to meet legal requirements. Posts are meant to be public, so please do not include information that identifies you or anyone else in the text of a post.
To protect NAVOON from automated abuse, we use Google reCAPTCHA through Firebase App Check. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information (such as device and application data) and sends it to Google for analysis. This site is protected by reCAPTCHA and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.
When you use the "Share" feature to send a video to a third-party app (such as Instagram or TikTok), the video file is passed directly to the app you select via your device's native share function. NAVOON does not control how that third-party app subsequently uses the content; please refer to that app's own privacy policy.
You or the applicable rights holder retain ownership of the photos, videos, and text you post on NAVOON ("User Content"). The scope within which we may use User Content is set out in the "Intellectual Property" section of our Terms of Service.
Posts that pass review and are published can be viewed by anyone on the web and may appear in search engine results and previews generated by social media and other services. A post's public page (https://www.navoon.app/spots/…) may show its title, place, address, opening hours, closing days, tags, description, genre, and up to four images (or thumbnail images if the post contains video). The title, description, place, address, opening hours, and other practical information may be shown both in the original language and in an automatically generated English translation. A post's public page does not display the poster's nickname, email address, or other account information. We provide a sitemap listing public pages so that search engines can find them.
If you delete a post, or if we unpublish it, its photos and videos promptly stop being available from the addresses (URLs) used until then, and its public page will normally stop being displayed within 30 minutes. However, we cannot promise exactly when cached copies or previews will disappear from your browser, a search engine, a social media service, or another third-party service, because removal depends on each service's processing. We will take reasonable steps to delete data that we control, but we may be unable to delete copies that a third party saved or shared while the post was public.
Except for contact details that a business or facility makes publicly available, please do not include your own or another person's address, phone number, email address, or other personal information in a post.
To protect your privacy, NAVOON automatically removes metadata (such as GPS location and timestamp) embedded in photos and videos. Photos are cleaned on your device before upload; if a photo cannot be cleaned, it is not uploaded. Videos are processed on our server right after upload; if processing fails, the uploaded video is deleted. Files whose contents are not actually a photo or video are also deleted automatically.
When our server replaces a video with the processed version, the file from before processing stays on the server in a recoverable state for 7 days — a safeguard in case something is removed by mistake. It cannot be reached from outside during that time, and it is permanently deleted once the 7 days have passed.
The text of a post (its title, location, description and practical details) is automatically screened by an AI moderation system (powered by Google's Gemini API) before the post is published, to detect spam, hate speech, sexually explicit wording, and other policy violations. This is an automated decision-making process; posts flagged by the system are reviewed by a human administrator before final rejection. You may contact us if you believe your content was flagged in error.
The contents of photos and videos themselves are not screened by AI. What our server does automatically with an uploaded photo or video is confirm that the file really is a photo or a video, and strip metadata such as GPS location. Inappropriate photos and videos are handled through reports: an administrator reviews the report and unpublishes the post. If you come across something inappropriate, please tell us using "Report" on that post.
Your data is stored in Google Firebase (servers in Tokyo, Japan — asia-northeast1 region). We implement industry-standard security measures including:

While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no system is 100% secure. Please use a strong password and keep your credentials safe.
Data Breach Notification: In the event of a data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours (where required by GDPR) and notify affected users without undue delay, in accordance with applicable law (including APPI and CCPA requirements).

California residents have additional rights under CCPA, including the right to know what personal information is sold or disclosed and the right to opt out of sale. NAVOON does not sell personal information.

Upon account deletion, your personal data will be permanently deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
NAVOON is a global service and is not directed to anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
NAVOON is operated from Japan. Your data is primarily stored in Google Firebase (Tokyo region). Some data may be processed by Google's global infrastructure. For EU users, such transfers are covered by Google's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) under GDPR Article 46.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on the app or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of NAVOON after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

当社は、決済情報、政府発行のID、機微情報は収集しません。
現在地について：スポットまでの距離の表示、近くのスポットを近い順に並べる表示、地図を現在地に合わせる表示のために、現在地を利用する場合があります。この現在地はお客様の端末内でのみ使用し、当社のサーバーには送信せず、保存もしません。ブラウザを閉じた時点で失われます。取得は、お客様が「📍 近く」（ホーム・行きたい）、「現在地からの距離を見る」、地図の「📍 現在地」など、現在地を使う操作を押したときに限り、ブラウザの許可ダイアログに同意された場合のみ行われます。許可しなくても、距離や近くのスポットが表示されないだけで、他の機能は通常どおりご利用いただけます。
Memoryの位置情報について：訪問記録に位置情報を添える場合、そのデータはお客様ご本人のみが読み取れる領域に保存され、他の利用者には公開されません。写真を添付する場合、写真に含まれる撮影位置などのメタデータはアップロード前に除去されます。
メールアドレスの保護：お客様のメールアドレスは、投稿やプロフィール上に公開表示されることはありません。公開コンテンツとは別の、権限を持つ管理者のみがアクセスできる制限付きデータベースに分離して保存し、アカウント認証およびサービス上必要な連絡にのみ使用します。

AI検索では、他の方が投稿したものを含め、公開中の投稿の一覧が毎回送信されます。送信されるのは公開されている項目だけで、投稿者の個人情報（メールアドレス等）は含みません。審査では、電話番号・住所・メールアドレス等の連絡先が本文に含まれていないかも確認します。NAVOONは課金済みのGoogle Cloudプロジェクトを通じてGemini APIを利用しているため、送信した内容がGoogleのモデルの学習に使われることはありません。Googleは不正利用の検知や法令上の要請に応じるため、一定期間これを保持する場合があります。投稿は公開されるものです。ご自身や他の方を特定できる情報を本文に書かないでください。
自動化された不正利用からNAVOONを守るため、Firebase App Check を通じて Google reCAPTCHA を利用しています。reCAPTCHA は端末やアプリの情報（ハードウェア・ソフトウェアの情報）を収集し、分析のために Google に送信します。このサイトは reCAPTCHA で保護されており、Google のプライバシーポリシーと利用規約が適用されます。
「シェア」機能を使って動画をInstagramやTikTok等の第三者アプリに送信する場合、動画ファイルはお使いの端末の共有機能を通じて、選択したアプリへ直接渡されます。当該第三者アプリがその後コンテンツをどのように利用するかについて当社は関与・管理していません。各アプリのプライバシーポリシーをご確認ください。
お客様がNAVOONに投稿した写真・動画・テキスト（以下「ユーザーコンテンツ」）の権利は、お客様または正当な権利者に帰属します。当社がユーザーコンテンツを利用できる範囲は、利用規約の「知的財産権」に定めています。
審査を通過して公開された投稿は、ウェブ上で誰でも閲覧でき、検索エンジンの検索結果やSNS等のプレビューに表示されることがあります。各投稿の公開ページ（https://www.navoon.app/spots/〜）には、題名、場所、住所、営業時間、定休日、タグ、説明文、ジャンルおよび最大4点の画像（動画を投稿した場合はサムネイル画像）が表示されることがあります。題名、説明文、場所、住所、営業時間その他の実用情報には、自動生成された英語訳と原文が併記される場合があります。投稿ごとの公開ページには、投稿者のニックネーム、メールアドレスその他のアカウント情報は表示しません。検索エンジンが公開ページを見つけられるよう、公開中のページの一覧をサイトマップとして提供しています。
お客様が投稿を削除した場合、または当社が投稿を非公開にした場合、その投稿の写真・動画はそれまでのアドレス（URL）から速やかに見られなくなり、公開ページも通常30分以内に表示されなくなります。ただし、お使いのブラウザ、検索エンジン、SNSその他の第三者サービスに保存されたキャッシュやプレビューから消える時期は、それぞれのサービスの処理によるため、当社が正確な時期をお約束することはできません。当社は当社が管理するデータについて合理的な削除対応を行いますが、第三者が投稿の公開中に保存または共有したコピーを削除できない場合があります。
お店や施設が一般に公開している住所・電話番号等を除き、ご自身または他の方の住所、電話番号、メールアドレスその他の個人情報を投稿に含めないでください。
プライバシー保護のため、NAVOONは写真・動画に含まれるメタデータ（GPS位置情報・撮影日時等）を自動的に除去します。写真はお使いの端末で除去してからアップロードし、除去できなかった写真はアップロードしません。動画はアップロード直後にサーバーで処理し、処理に失敗した動画は削除します。中身が写真・動画ではないファイルも自動的に削除します。
なお、サーバーが動画を処理して置き換えると、処理前のファイルは7日間、復元可能な状態でサーバーに残ります。誤って削除した場合に備えた仕組みです。この間も外部から参照することはできず、7日を過ぎると完全に削除されます。
投稿の本文（題名・場所・説明・実用情報）は、公開前にAI審査システム（Google Gemini API利用）により自動的にスクリーニングされ、スパム・ヘイトスピーチ・性的に露骨な表現等のポリシー違反がないか確認されます。これは自動化された意思決定プロセスです。システムによってフラグが立てられた投稿は、最終的な却下の前に管理者が人の目で確認します。コンテンツが誤ってフラグされたと思われる場合は、お問い合わせください。
写真・動画そのものの内容は、AIによる自動審査の対象ではありません。アップロードされた写真・動画についてサーバーが自動的に行うのは、中身が本当に写真・動画であることの確認と、GPS位置情報等のメタデータの除去です。不適切な写真・動画は、ご利用者からの通報を受けて管理者が確認し、非公開にします。不適切なものを見つけられた場合は、各投稿の「通報」からお知らせください。
お客様のデータはGoogle Firebase（東京リージョン：asia-northeast1）に保存されます。以下のセキュリティ対策を実施しています：
• 通信の暗号化（HTTPS/TLS）
• Firebaseセキュリティルールによる自分のデータへのアクセス制限
• 定期的なセキュリティレビュー
合理的な対策を講じていますが、いかなるシステムも100%安全ではありません。強力なパスワードをご使用ください。
データ侵害通知：お客様の権利・自由に危害が及ぶ可能性のあるデータ侵害が発生した場合、当社は適用法令（GDPR、個人情報保護法、CCPA等）の定めに従い、必要に応じて72時間以内に監督機関へ報告するとともに、影響を受けるお客様へ遅滞なくご連絡いたします。

アカウント削除後、お客様の個人データは30日以内に完全に削除されます（法律による保持義務がある場合を除く）。
NAVOONはグローバルサービスとして、18歳未満の方を対象としていません。18歳未満の方から意図的に個人情報を収集することはありません。子どもが個人情報を提供したと思われる場合は、速やかにご連絡ください。直ちに削除します。
NAVOONは日本から運営されています。データは主にGoogle Firebase（東京リージョン）に保存されます。一部のデータはGoogleのグローバルインフラで処理される場合があります。EUユーザーについては、GDPR第46条に基づくGoogleの標準契約条項（SCC）によりカバーされます。
本ポリシーは随時更新することがあります。重要な変更がある場合は、アプリ内通知またはメールでお知らせします。ページ上部の「最終更新日」が最新の改訂日を示しています。変更後もNAVOONを継続してご利用いただいた場合、更新されたポリシーに同意したものとみなします。
